Oddly enough Grizzly's site looks like it was being updated as I couldnt pull up any pictures of any of their metal working machines, it showed "0" models in each category. Anyway the mill looks like a small travel version of the G0704 but is more expensive, personally if that is the case I would reconsider. I did find a picture of the lathe and have seen that model cncd.

I was concidering the go704 but opted not for $2500 the g0619 is $1500 if I recall, ya their site is messed up right now....I've been waiting for a catalog for ever now so I could flip back and forth but it seems to never come, hope that's not a sign of how hard they work for their customers....I was originally looking at their largest mill/lathe combo ($4000) but decided to go with dedicated units instead and spend roughly the same amount total between 2 machines....hope that's a better/wiser move also, I use a Smitty combo at work alot and find myyself wanting separate units due to setup and the round column on the mill/drill head...

    The Grizzly G0619 is a Sieg SX3.

cncfusion.com makes some popular CNC conversion kits for the SX3.

The G0704 was in the 995 range last time I looked. Anyway keep reading and enjoy. Good luck in the hunt, keep us informed.

I have both pieces of equipment in question
the G0619 is the SX3 and is around 1300 cnc kits are readily available
the G9972Z is the 11x26 lathe and I believe is around 1500 cnc kits are not readily available, but I just finished mine and am going to start a thread to show what it took to get it there
the G0602 is grizzly's 10x22 lathe and very popular, the castings on the 11x26and the 10x22 are almost identical ie: the drive systems, spindle, carriage etc..
I can supply necessary files if anyone needs them for the 11x26 might take a little bit to put them all together, they should all work with with the G0602 as well, barring shorter ballscrews

    SX3 pros
conversion kits readily available and good quality
decent price range and usually available
good accuracy for what I need it for
    decent travels and solid electronics
    SX3 cons
fit and finish not as nice as some other mills (subjective)
gibs need a little work out of the box
column could use a brace to cambat any flex (simple mod)
more expensive than a G0704 (but the wait wont be as long, sounds like it will be summertime before more come in, and they are having motor issues with these)
other than that I have had great luck and a lot of fun with my SX3
here is a link to my build http://www.cnczone.com/forums/bencht...eady_go-4.html

    G9972Z pros
    good hobby size lathe
very capable, can turn hardened ballscrews no prob
    1"+ spindle bore
more travel and swing than a G0602 (not that much)
comes with a t-slot cross slide (makes it easy for gang tooling on a cnc)
    G9972Z cons
no tail stock cam lock (easily modded for one)
I personally like the look of the G0602 better
no reverse feed (not an issue once cnc'd)
not much room for ballnut under cross slide ( rotons fit though)
other than that I have enjoyed this machine as well, I am working on the electronics right now so I will have it running soon hopefully, life just gets in the way sometime.

Now these are MY opinions and I am sure others differ, so to each their own

Eventually want the g0709 gunsmith lathe and the g3617 horizontal/vertical mill, but decided to go smaller first, I mostly build R/C parts for now, but have a lot of people I do welding and repair work for and it seems that I always have something to send to the machine shop, and I really enjoy machining and fabricating myself. I have the space, matter of fact almost done building a dedicated room in corner of my shop for the "TOYS"
