Man, you guys are killing me with this 4th axis stuff, I gotta get one for my 770
That is very cool. Nice video, cracks me up on the table mounted camera makes it look like the column is moving X and Y and the table is stationary.

When I grow up I want to do that too! I just gotta learn cad/cam, and get the 4th axis, and the tool changer, and more tooling, probe, ect, (does this ever end?) Really nice, I like the tool tab trick.

Yeah that was pretty cool. Being a former off road racer I can appreciate what your making there. Awesome. I also to, thought the table was stationary

Cool, did you make all the parts? If not, where did you get the components? I would like to start using dovetail fixtures on my 4th also.
    Thanks,
    tony

I made all the parts, Less the bolts and springs. I can post a few pictures of the dovetail fixture when I get home from work.

wow thats really awesome, why did you put dovetails on both sides? i assume one side is threaded and is teh nut while the other side is counterbored for a shcs. i guess you could have machined a ledge and then put the dovetails only on one side?

    Runner

That’s exactly how it works, I use the 2 pins that are on the centerline of the fixture to locate the stock.

I really like your fixture. Are you willing to share the model or prints with the dimensions?
Great work. Just finished my rotary table and want to get started on some work similar to yours
