    Default South Bend CL2CT

    Does any one know anything about these or even better used one before.
    I found this one for $1,600.00 and wanted to see what input you might have as to weather or not it's a good deal etc.

    Looks great to me, unless the paint is actually a bad repaint job. The picture is too small to determine that. Check to see if the spindle bearings have discernable side play, and run the motor through all the speed ranges.

    Thats a very nice lathe.
    I own 2 10"southbends at this moment.

    but i'm not sure this is the correct forum cause you absolutely positively never want to retro this lathe in to cnc controls.

    Google for machinist southbend and first hit should contain more then you'll ever wanna know about this lathe. I'm sure you'll like it f you're a hobbyist.
