I just upgraded finally to 2022 two years ago. A lot of my files are MC7. Anyone know how to convert them so i can open them to use again? I do have access to X5 if that helps.
I assume your MC7 is v7, not X7 (seeing that you also mention X5)
It is a big gap, what.... 30 years?
Newer Mcam files can only be converted (with paths) across 3 version levels (you would need to have those other versions installed on the PC to do it, so v7, v9, X5, X9, 2017, 2022 .... these are the steps you have to put the files thru.)
Another way is to export in v7 as STEP/IGES etc, then import into a 2022 session... problem is no toolpaths will be transferred (that is that you have paid for the STEP converter in v7).
