Default UC100 and Spindle speed off

Evening all. I blew up my Win7 PC running a parallel port with Mach3. So I decided to build a mini PC running W10. Everything seems to work fine with exception of the servo spindle motor.
I have a Chinese AC servo that can run 2500rpm. I have the speed pulse coming off the motor and coming in on the BOB to the index port.

With the parallel port PC, put 500rpm, it's off by maybe 5%, all the way up to 2500rpm.

With the Win10 PC,running the same 100khz and the rpm drops to about 1/3 to 1/2 half of what I set it to. All the settings are the same, same xml file.

RPM's are verified with a infrared tach.

Just wondering what I might be missing???

    Thanks
    CR

We need more information. What breakout board are you feeding the UC100 into? And, what PWM base frequency for the spindle speed signal does the breakout board require?

    Cheers

I'm pretty sure that's irrelevant, it works with the PC parallel port setup, it doesn't the USB UC100 port... There must be something more to the UC100 setup, or it's not actually running 100Khz.

I did get the win7 PC running again and verified with the parallel port, the spindle speed is good, so it's not a hardware issue.

Peter, it's also not using PWM, it's setup like another stepper.

Ok. Do you know what frequency (step ) to voltage board you are using?

Also, most CNC frequency to voltage converters use a steps per setting of 20000.

Another thing to try is setting the step pulse to a larger value for the spindle axis.

    Cheers

Peter, like I said it works with the parallel port, not with the UC100. I was reading something that the UC100 doesn't send pulses out at 100k max, something like 50k or 29k. Sooo, there's a numerator setting on the servo controller that reduces the number of pulses to the servo, that might have to be adjusted to accommodate.

So, as suspected the UC100 can't keep up with the servo controller like the parallel port did. Within the servo controller you can set a "electronic reduction" to decrease the number of steps per revolution. It was set at 25/5, or 5 to 1. I changed it to 20/1, no problems. I might try 10/1, but for now, working just fine.UC100 and Spindle speed off-1000001730-jpgUC100 and Spindle speed off-1000001731-jpghttps://www.facebook.com/10000125276...0257017953172/

Thanks for all the help??? Hopefully somebody else can use this information.
