Default HITACHI HT25S Z AXIS ISSUE

    HITACHI HT25S Z AXIS ISSUE-imag0563-jpgHello All,
Most of the time when I start up the 1988 Hitachi Seiki lathe with a MULTI Control, I get these Alarms after I press the STAND BY button,
    ALARM 392 Z-AXIS TG DISCONNECTED
    ALARM 390 SPINDLE TG DISCONNECTED
ALARM310 POWER FOR SERVO NOT SUPPLIED
    ALARM 280 NOT READY

The machine fires up sometimes others it goes in to the above alarm states.
Could someone help me with what could cause a intermittent issue I am having.
    Thank You Skeney

    Skeney,

sounds like the power supplies for the control and drives are getting old. Usually, they energize in the time it takes to walk from the main power to the control, and are ready to fire up once you power on the control. When they get older, they take longer to energize so the control becomes "ready" before the axis and spindle drives have fully energized. What kind of spindle / axis drive does it have? Yaskawa?

    John
