    Default Using BobCAD with Flashcut

    Hello,

I am using BobCADCAM to generate G-code, now I need to get it into Flashcut.

What post or setup in BobCAD do I need to select or configure?

I will be using both the lathe and mill.

    Thanks!

    Eric

    Hi,

I don't use BobCAD, I use CASmate. The Precix servo driver works for me with CASmate and Flashcut, so if there is a Precix driver (post) in BobCAD I would try that, otherwise try a generic Fanuc post.

Flashcut post available in v17. I or perhaps Bobcad tech support could e-mail you that.

All of the FlashCut posts are available from the BobCad support site. I run both 17 and 18 without any problems (mill only).

    Default Using BobCAD with Flashcut

When I want to make a quick simple part on my mill (I don’t know if it would work with a lathe) I draw it in BobCad then save it as a .DFX. then I import it into flashcut. You can also scan a drawing into a program like Coraldraw then save it as a .DFX. You may have to clean up the drawing before importing it to Flashcut.
