Wifi works like Ethernet for a program. No differences.
But WiFi can be unstable because there are many electromagnetic noises in a shop.
In other to avoid long cables, I would like to use Wi-Fi wireless communication for my CNC machines (mostly FANUC) to transfer part programs and other data to PC.
Has anyone experience in using wireless communication with FANUC CNC?
I would appreciate any help with wireless communication.
Now I’m using the “COMMUNICATION SOFTWARE FOR FANUC CNC” application for both RS-232 and Ethernet cable connection.
If you want to try the mentioned software, you can download it from the SOFTPEDIA web page.
