    Hi Craig
I don't think I am ready to tackle this yet.
I need to wrap up a couple of projects first. But I definitely want to upgrade at some point.
What is urgent is to figure out why when I start the program the bit is driven into the table.
this happens intermittently. not every time.

    Thanks
    Rich

The Program has a lot of junk in it and is not good the way it has been processed
    ( SADIE V CUT5 )

    ( for Mach2/3 from Vectric )

    N220G1X0.8296Y-1.4952F100.0
    N230G1X0.8361Y-1.4543

This very first line is incorrect ( X= 34.000, Y= 13.000, Z= 0.750) it is in brackets so won't do anything there is no reason for it to be there

N140G00G43Z0.8000H5 then this is your first Z axis move, this should put the Tool .800 above the part if it does not then you are doing something wrong when you set your tool offset this is your G43 call H5 is your Tool # so in the tool offsets you have to have that tool offset highlighted when you set the tool

G70G91.1 may switch you to incremental mode which can cause problems this is not needed, this is not needed and should be removed
N180G94 this is not needed also

I would try some different Post processors

So, going by what I see this program should run ok but has a lot of junk in it that should not be there

    N230G1X0.8361Y-1.4543
( SADIE V CUT5 ) ( This is the same Program with all the junk removed )

    G00G20G17G90G40G80 ( Remove G49 )
    G0Z.800 ( Add a G0Z move Here just for saftey )
    T5M06
G00G43Z0.8000H5 ( Check Tool 5 offset has been set correct )

    G1X0.8296Y-1.4952F100.0
    G1X0.8361Y-1.4543

To test any Program, use Single Block and step through the first part of the program if it does not do what it should then you have to look at how you are setting the Tool offsets

If you are just setting the tool to the top of the part and pressing the Z0. on the computer then you have to remove the G43 as this will be looking for the Tool offset in the Tool Offset folder

In Vectric software have you selected the top of your part for your tool program, it appears that you have just checking

It is still putting all the Junk in it G49 = cancel work offsets so should never be used like it is in that first start up line

There Post Processors need to be edited to correct the incorrect posting
