    How do you have interfaced your Linear Encoder with PC (by means of Hardware)

    No post on this in almost 12 years but the press brake still works but I would like to do some upgrades.

    Right now it only has a single control valve and a single encoder on one side of the ram. This causes uneven bends on long parts. Not bad but a few degrees difference. So with todays technology I was thinkin about eliminating the proportional valve and pump and 5hp electric motor and maybe going to AC servos directly coupled to a hydraulic gear pump. One for each cylinder. Haven't looked into a bunch but shouldn't be that hard and should be a lot cheaper than adding another proportional valve. Those are about $6,000 each.

    Right now I need to bend about 2-3 ' of 11-12 gauge stainless pretty accurately and don't really want to outsource or buy a real full size brake.

    Also appears Langmuir has copied my design for their new 25t brake
