Default New box and limit switches

I bought the assembled kit and want to add limit switches. I was told there are extra i/o s on the board. Does anyone have break out board suggestions?

This is an assembled Xylotex drive box?
If so, I don't think there's an easy way to interface it with a breakout board, because the Xylotex plugs directly into the parallel port. There should be screw terminals on the board that you can wire switches to, but you might need to add pull up resistors.
Another option is to just add another parallel port and use a breakout board with the second port.

thanks Gerry, that's what I wound up doing. I bought the C50 BOB from CNC4PC and the parallel port from Ebay. This is my first go at it. I'll post an update when I get it working.

Xylotex 3 axis is what I am looking to get. Please if you would let us know what you did to make this work. I am not an electronics person and any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I added a 2nd parallel port that I bought on Ebay, and bought the C50 BOB, and USB power supply from CNC4PC. It took a couple tries but I have it working now. CNC4PC has good documentation and tech support.
I will post some pics later.

I have an older Xylotex without screw terminals, but with an unused header. I bought the apppropriate connector and wired my switches directly to the Xylotex board.
