In an unfortunate turn, our Laguna CNC Lathe tried to eat itself. The piece of wood picked up our 50 pin pendent control cable and drove it into our bit. We go a replacement cable from Laguna, but now the machine is losing steps on the x and z axis. It'll start off the job fine, but by the end, it'll be an 1/8" bigger on the Z axis and will have moved an 1/8th on the x axis.
I've checked the calibration and I can't find anything mechanically wrong with the machine.
I'm worried my control board got blown in the accident. Is there anything else that could be going on? Has anyone had this happen to them and have any advice? I'm a little hesitant to go messing with the control board wiring until I have to.
