    Default Visual Mill Cut sequence

Hi, I'm doing 2 1/2 profiling in visual mill. How do you tell the software to do the outside cut last? So you get all the internals completed and the final outside shape last?

Do you have to do it manually?

    Thanks

    Prboz

You could run it as a separate engraving operation, after the rest of the machining is done.

We do nested type parts, with multiple parts laid out on a sheet. Our typical processing will in involve 3 basic ops. We run a drilling op first which does all drilling on all of the parts. More drilling ops can be added for drilling various hole sizes. Then the next op will be for internal profiling- for all cuts inside all of the parts. This would be for large holes or other shapes cut out from the part. At this point, the final op will be for outside profiling which cuts the parts from the sheet. In this op you can specify parameters for any tabs that hold each part to the stock, if you want to use them. Basically, you can arrange the ops sequence in the tree by drag/drop or cut/past to get the order that you want. Hope this helps. -Rich
