    Default New: Baby Viper 60

I've got a new addition to the Viper dive line. Its a very low priced small drive, the Viper 60 (baby viper).

    The ratings are
    - Max Voltage - 60 Volts
    - Max continuous current 8 amps
    - Peak current 20 amps
    - Uses IRF540 mosfets

Its mainly designed for driving Keling style Size 23, 60 volt motors or Size 34 running at 60 volts. Since the continuous current on most 23 and 34 motors is less than 8 amps, this drive handles them no problem.

For economy the drive has a few less features than the larger drives, but still has differential encoder input, all the tuning features, and is very easy to connect.

    So the line up is
    Viper 60
    Viper 95
    Viper 100/200
    Viper 250

Well done Larry, that's quite the little family you have going now.

What size machine do you foresee them fitting, benchtop, small router?

The Viper 60 will be available for orders at the first of November. Price is under $90 each

The delay was because i've been working changing my Starcam controller from printerport to USB for the last few months. I mostly sell CNC routers to Canadian Schools and had a lot of orders for CNC routers over the summer and they had to be USB.
The USB was a real challenge but its working pretty good now. ( I have learned the only good USB is an opto isolated USB !)

BTW, USB will probably never be on a Viper drive, RS232 is much better !
