I'd like to share work that I've been doing combining machine vision and probing with LinuxCNC. I've made a couple videos that are on YouTube, and a link to the second is below. The short summary is that one camera is used to read the face of a Haimer probe while a second one is used to identify holes in a part, a probing path is built, then touch off and probing proceeds. I compare the estimates of the hole position and diameter to those from the probing operations to those from the drawing. All the source for is open source. If you are you have suggestions please let me know. I'm doing additional work combining machine vision and machine learning with machining. Thank you, Kent
