Epoxy granite vertical mill cnc

Few years ago I decided to build a cnc milling machine and today it's almost done. It took a long time to decide what to build. here is the result:

I had no access to milling machine so the only way for me was to use epoxy granite structure, because the mold can be done using wood from local supplier. unfortunately I loos the picture from the mold. I only have a picture of a test mold that I did before the real one:


Next pic is the assembling of the horizontal base and the column:


Assembled with linear rails and ball screws:


The first version of the table:


Allining the square on the Y:


and then the X on the square (and of course the Y):


First fully assembled:


With this configuration I did some very preliminary test:

Conclusion was that the temporay spindle headstock is very bad so next step was to upgrade it:

But it didn't turn very well and the table assembly which was not as strong as I thought, then I decided to upgrade it also:
