Yes Emco is amazing, when I saw manual I thought this is machine from future
Here I made video how I mounted bearings, I guess it will help someone brave enough to change bearings by it self, bearings are pricey, I managed to buy exact same bearings which were mounted on spindle, I had little chat about bearing designation with seller from Switzerland ,what are the particular letters, he told me all what is not B7010E and P4 UL is year of production and factory plant (if someone will wonder ), P4 is super precision and UL is universal mounting (not matched pair).
I made movie for Mike because I saw he is close to work with bearings so might help him too.
Anyway enjoy guys, if someone see that I made something wrong let me know. Only thing is grease, I tried lot of things before I mounted brand new bearing so I did not wanted to use the most expensive grease , but with today knowledge I would buy it because for those 4 bearing is enough small tube of grease, when you know what you are doing.

Nice buddy! so how are u gonna clean all of that up? Bead blaster? Grinder? The Issue with reusing my enclosure is its hella nasty, and would take about 1 month staight to clean and prep. And its like 6 feet wide by 5 feet by 5 feet.

If I was on your place I would give enclosure to specialist (in case you still have it) to sand blast it and paint it, it is not so critical as parts that you painted, base need to be take care by someone who knows which surfaces need to be as from factory.
I would appreciate original enclosure because when you CNCing you can use flood coolant, this is why I am happy with this machine, under the machine is like 100 liters tank for coolant.
I will sand blast enclosure little by little, and will be using grinder with steel brush for sensitive parts, I already use it to strip paint from turret assembly and if you do work carefully result is very good. Sand blasting makes surface rough, that will be OK for enclosure.
Maybe I order custom made stainless steel pool/tank for coolant , if it would not cost too much, there is no much sens to paint rusty tank in DIY version, I mean coolant is all the time in tank so eventually will rust again, if I was manufacturer I would make it from stainless right at the beginning.
If I have house with water supply and sewerage system I would use car wash, some of the top parts from enclosure I brought on my bike to nearby car wash and spent about 30 tokens on washing, literally it can strip paint, all the paint from over spray on original color was removed LOL.
I thought all the time you will refurbished your enclosure.
Anyway waiting for new update from you

I dont like flood coolant for my lathe, these are oil only, so flood oil is fine but I can't use any water based coolants because it damages stuff like ballscrews and stuff, especially on my lathes...

I think they do not sell those things here , but I know for company which provides professional services for bluing, they can do anodization of aluminum, they have all that you need to make things look professional. Anyway I asked for price, just so I now approximately and they charge like 40 $ for shoe box size full of metal stuff.
Turret assembly I will paint and will replace DC motor with hybrid stepper so will get something new, never seen , so will look like new. Mainly things that can be blued are far from sight because everything is protected with metal panels.

Excellent work Marco !!!! You may know it already, but originally, there's an "O" ring in that outside groove (that was filled with dirt) where the tool holder slips on.

Hi Pete , thank you for information about O-ring, I did not know there was O-ring, even did not see in manual that kind of info. I assumed that maybe it can be O-ring there, but there was only dirt, no leftovers from O-ring, if you know dimensions from O - ring let me know, otherwise I will try to calculate which one to buy.

Hi Pete, all is OK, need to finish some jobs and new videos will come soon. Half of machine is sitting in front of me right now. I am preparing my self to fit pulleys from original steppers to new motors but always have some things to do. This is reason why I bought this Emco, to make my life bit easier .
Here is update from few days ago plus video that I promised before, full day 65. Nothing special but need to weld those holes before painting.
Base of machine was solid but it seams water manege to get in and it started to rust from inside.
Update from today, well, it is very hard to make it as my plan was, metal sheet is probably rusted from inside so wall is very thin, but I manage to develop method how to connect two different metals. I am beginner at welding, it can be said that before this I spent only maybe 4 electrodes and with very basic welder /the cheapest. In this case I used arc welding, 1.5 mm electrodes , 30 to 35 Amps, and Fronius Transpocket 1200.
My plan is to close all holes and after that use bondo or something similar (kit or something like that). So this is result from one whole day
Any advice is appreciated but must be for arc welding
