Default Vcarve Home and start position

Brand new to cnc routing and vcarve. In fact still waiting for my SS23 to arrive. Most probably know it uses WINCNC. My question is, if my home position, x0,y0 is at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen and table, but I want to mount my work piece to the middle of the table how do I get my spindle to know where it is? Or do I have to do all of my jobs from the bottom left-hand corner of the table? Sorry for the dumb question but would very much appreciate a little help. Thank you

You would set work offset in WinCNC. There are probably several ways to do it, but the most common is to jog the machine to where you want the origin to be, and zero the X and Y axis. You want the X and Y zero positions on the machine to match the origin position you use in V Carve.

Very grateful, thank you. Looking forward to the day when my questions are a little more intelligent.
