Yeah, go ahead but if you make anything with it, i just wanna see what you make with it or how you use it. I made this for a ring. A silver ring...

    Gracia CNC

Could you give me some pointers on how to create this type of file.

I am proficient in photoshop and Illustrator. I know there is a way to take regular pics and develop an image like your skull from it with out having to go crazy from scratch.
i just have not figured it out yet so if you could teach me. I am open to PM if you dont want to give away to much to everyone.

I just went to your facebook page it looks like you are designing these in a 3D program is this correct? I have Cinema 4D and can stumble my way through most of it.
If you are using a 3D program to design these how are you rendering or exporting to get the image to have the grey scale effect that you need to use in aspire or artcam?????

I really would like to know how to do this. I feel that you should be able to open a regular pic and build a model from it with out having to spend countless hours design ing it from scratch.

Such as photo in PS convert to BW add blur add adjustments adjust levels apply gradient mask etc etc etc

Hi tsinos, unfortunately I cannot give you this exact 3d model because it is part of a line of rings I sell but I can send you a skull, slightly modified as a .DXF file. Just let me know how you want it to looks, any expressions, crooked or missing teeth or horns, just let me know.

Hi bearwen, there are 2 ways I know of to create a true alpha like the skull alpha, one is a camera with Plenoptic technology in it that actually captures depth information in each picture taken. Each picture you take with this camera saves each picture like regular pictures and also as alpha map of the entire scene in each picture. There is also some cheap versions of this camera out there but their flaw is low resolution and low quality, but just remember this post in about 5 years when they become available to everyone at a decent price. Right now they are only available out of the US for a few thousand $$$. The second way to get alphas like my skull alpha is by designing it with 3d software.

If you want, I can convert it for you, I just need the .obj file and let me know how large you want the resolution to be (in pixels that is).

This is just for a skull, no ring. Is a .obj good or do you need it converted as a .dxf?

I never give out my 3d models, but since you asked Ill send it to your email. All I ask in return is if you make something with it, please post a picture of it here so I can see what you do with it. I made this one today and i dont duplicate my models, I can always make myself another one.

WOW... I gave out all that info and didnt mention the program I use. This is made using Zbrush 4r4. If you want I can post a relief image or a 3d model for people to download, im not greedy. By the way, this is what I made with the first relief image I posted on the beginning of this thread. 1oz solid silver. Share 3D relief (File GreyScan) free!-393141_627827093913918_1404603619_n-jpg
