We are teaching students, Louie. I do want to teach them CAD, and be very proficient in that, before moving them on to CAM. I also do wish for them to be present when we put our cnc machine together. I am thinking of the Kompas H - 1000 GS Kit, and then sourcing the electrical from aliexpress here.

Vectric, on the other hand charge the full amount for all their licences regardless if it is a charity, institution or business. This it the first time I have come across this policy from a software company.
Have you contacted them? They are a very highly respected software company, with very fair license policies.

Yes I have Gerry. That is why I was shocked by their response. It is not as if they were actually giving money from their bank account as a donation, but rather access to their software.

Not so, in my opinion. In reply I appealed to her that we could not spend that sort of money, when that would mean less money for feeding our malnourished children. I have responsibility for our benefactors as well as our beneficiaries.
