Help building my own large Vacuum forming machine 4x12 feet
Hi all,
Need to DIY a 12x4 ft with 1 ft. draw Vacuumforming machine at tight budget.
In India, thick sheet forming machine Mfrs. are rare, and they quote exorbitant prices, adding 'trial and error' expenses, since no experience.
I studied this machines quite a lot Online and working models: Thick-sheet forming is comparatively slow cycle and seems less complicated (?), hence hope to get fabricated by involving metal fabrication, pneumatic and Oven people.
2mm PETG or 3mm Acrylic digital/Screen printed will be mostly used.
1. Can anybody help with a simple design ?
2. Heater: Quartz is best but cannot afford at such size. Can I use Kanthal wire, or Rod heater a must ?
3. Cam-shell (Lid opening model) is possible or Heater frame up and down or sliding ?
4. Pneumatic or hydraulic for Heater tray, die movements ?
Even smallest tips are valuable, please help.
Thank you for the time.
