    Question need some info

Hello all i kinda stumbled onto here so maybe i can get some info before i jump head first into this.....

what i am looking into doing is to make a engine cover that can be left on for short periods of time while the engine is running or for that fact left on all the time if i could but most definitely placed on the car when its warm to cover up my engine block for at car shows.... so what i am asking you on here is what if any would be the best type of plastic to use for this i know i can insulate it on the reverse side with a mat because it will be painted but i was wondering if it could be vacuum molded so that i could make one mold and make more if so wanted to and to allow of a more curvy applications instead of a metal block style cover thanks in advanced i havent purchased or made a former yet due to the fact i wanted to get some ideas i was thinking if i needed to be more heat resistant i would need more heat to make it pliable to form thanks jason

ok as i gather info on my quest to form i guess i will need some thing that can resist a temp of 400' f and that is being on the over cautious side but with that said what would be a good material and thickness to use it is going to be about 20"x24" x4" is the rough size of the cover i will have to get down and dirty to get the exact dimensions but that is the rough idea of it so thanks in advance jason
