vac forming question
dear friends ,
I'm trying to vacuum the PP sheet with 1mm thickness.
I've drilled the 30mm diameter , 45mm height hole into the wood and use the refrigerator electric motor as vacuum system.I've connected the motor to end of the wood.
when I put my finger in top of the hole , I felt the vacuuming pressure completely.
I've heated the PP sheet , after putting that in top of the hole , the vacuum pressure made sheet torn!
as far as I watched the vacuum machines , specially for cups , they use the male and female mold! they fit the molds on each other and after that they start vacuuming .
I've tried this experiment with PVC but the maximum vacuum was 2mm.!
question 1 : should I use the male and female mold or the female is enough.
question 2 : I've tried to head the PS sheet , but after start heating the sheet was deformed ! is it possible to use the PS sheet in this respect!
thank you very much
Ali
