    Unhappy RS232 COMMUNICATION PROBLEM

I'm having trouble with communicating through the RS232 port. I am able to send from the machine to the computer, but not from computer to machine. We did lose all parameters on this machine and had to restore them, so that may be the issue. We know it's not the cable and all the settings on the com software are set the same as the other 38 machines in the shop. It's on OT controller, anyone have any ideas? Thx

What devices are you trying comm to?
    Tried lower baud rates?
Don't 'assume' anything is good or bad.....You won't know for sure until it all works.
Not has alot to do with RS232.....played a little with RS485.
Tried establishing comms with each individual device with software on a PC?
    Electrical noise considered?
