Have you tried running the install program that cam with the card. Many cards need to be initialized before they have an address, stored internally in the card. Some have DOS programs that can change the card settings.
sorry for reviving an old thread but i am having trouble finding the address for my Sunix parallel port card (win7).
device manager/ports/Sunixlpt2/properties/details/address 0000000000. it just displays a bunch of zeros and no address.
Does anyone know of a way that i can find the address ?
Thanks in advance

Super X3. 3600rpm. Sheridan 6"x24" Lathe + more. THREE ways to fix things: The RIGHT way, the OTHER way, and maybe YOUR way, which is possibly a FASTER WRONG WAY!
yeah i ran the install cd and drivers. I managed to find some i/o address's for it.
Here is some info
My Bios settings are: Parallel port: Enabled
Settings: Auto
Device Mode: ECP and EPP-1.9 mode
In windows device manager i found: View/resources by type/ input/output I/O -- Sunix 2 port parallel card
I/O: D010 - D017
D020 - D027
D030 - D037
D000 - D007
IRQ: 0x00000011 (17)
In Mach 3/ports and pins i tried entering 0x010, 0x017, D010, D017 etc. I have not yet tried all combinations however still no luck
The card cannot be remapped to 378 or 278 however i do not believe i should have to remap it in order for it to work ?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks !
Also !
The card is a Sunix IEEE-1284
PC Chipset: C2
It will work as long as you get the hex address right of the pci card parallel port.
