Default CNC Router - Frame Structure

    Hi all,
I have purchased a new CNC-Router with clamping area of 1730x890mm (weight: 82 kg - picture attached) , and I was wondering what do you recommend to use as the "structure" or table. What is the normal way to use this kind of CNC-Routers? Does it work well on top of a standard table, or is it better to have a stainless steel structure?

    Many thanks

Some build a wooden table to support there machines needs to be quite solid though, a steel frame is always going to be best but needs to be well built also, stainless steel material is not needed but if it is at a good price then why not

As long as the table is solid and it holds the machine level it shouldn't make a huge difference what the material is.All he cutting forces are contained by the machine itself but you will need a bit of diagonal bracing to reduce the vibrations in response to movement of the gantry as any oscillations could combine with the harmonics of the gantry with extreme accelerations or decelerations.Stainless would work well but you would need to find an amazing deal given how inexpensive steel is.

With a machine like that, the table really adds nothing to the machine. Any flat surface that will hold it still will be fine.
