Default need assistance with BOB -> KL6050 connections

    Hello all,

Just posting here for a little help with a DIY machine.

I'd post pics but I am unable to connect phone to pc...bad usb cable methinks, but here is link to type of BOB I'm using:

    https://www.amazon.com/Breakout-Step.../dp/B00QHO3C1C

    X-Axis connectors on BOB
    ---------------------------------
    XN XD XS XE

    connectors on KL6050
    --------------------------------------------
    ENA- ENA+ DIR- DIR+ PUL- PUL+

Not sure what goes to which...can't afford to fry anything, hence asking for help!

Pretty sure the driver -> motor is o.k.

    tia!

I am not sure what that is: it looks like a pendant and some sort of BoB. The description is that poor I would hesitate to touch it myself.
Can I assume that any instructions are in incomprehensible Chinglish? If there are any?

    Cheers

Your assumptions are startlingly correct sir!

When shopping for a BOB, I noticed this one had the LCD and I thought it would be straightforward enough since most of the parallel BOBs functioned more-or-less the same. I now know that looking at a computer screen and having some wishful thoughts isn't a whack of wires and pcbs in your lap! lol!!

I figured someone here might have seen one of these before.

I've found some posts that suggest the wires from the BOB (XS, XD) go to DIR- and PUL- and another states DIR+ and PUL+.

Which creates two more possible scenarios: if BOB wires go to -ve connectors, where should I pull the 5V for the +ve ones? Conversely, where should I pull ground if the BOB wires go to the +ve connectors? From the mockumentation, XN is listed as GND. Can that be used to ground the control circuitry on the driver? Or is that bad practice?

    Thanks for response!

I am sorry: I have never seen the thing physically and have no idea what the labeling means. I doubt the vendor from whom you bought it knows anything either. A lot of them just take the money and run.

Me, I run an ESS and some MB02 BoBs from Homann Designs. Good doco, LED displays, and they work well.

    Cheers
    Roger
