Is there anyone using Makino a81?

Is there anyone using Makino a81? I want to know its actual performance .My company has bought 8 sets since last year but performance is not very as good as our expectations.

Any tip will be appreciated.

From my understanding that model is not the best. I can not tell you of the specific problems they are having. But I know of a company that has 4 or 5 of them. They are constantly down for all sorts of reasons both fanuc and control related problems. A lot of unknown bugs that are hard to troubleshoot as well. I know it doesn't help you now but the newer model?? Can't remember what model but it is much more reliable.

yes we do run sets of 2 with the trolly feed system and I have been to the school in ohio we replaced 2 sets of older mazaks.
I love the new units they are fast and run all day long with no problems, we run 3 shifts here vat toro.

What do you need about Makino a81 parameters, adjustment ,please send a list with the machine serial number we have some procedures that can be helpful.
