Default CNC Machines Survey, what do you think?

    Hi everyone,

I’m part of Gowico, and we’re launching an independent weekly survey series to gather unbiased feedback from CNC professionals on a variety of CNC manufacturers, including DMG MORI, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Nakamura-Tome, and many others.

What’s the Value of This Survey?
The goal is to provide the CNC community with insights into:

Machine performance: How reliable and efficient are these machines in real-world applications?
Service quality: Are manufacturers providing the support needed to minimize downtime?
Automation integration: How well do these machines integrate with the latest automation technology?
By participating, you’ll get access to real-world feedback from other CNC professionals, helping you make better decisions on future machine purchases, improvements, or upgrades. Plus, we’ll summarize the survey results each week, so you can see what the broader CNC community thinks.

    How You Can Participate:
New survey posted every Monday: The survey link will be available here and on our website.
Results shared every Sunday: We’ll post a detailed summary of the results with key takeaways.
We’d love to hear your thoughts—do you think such a survey series would be valuable for CNC professionals like yourself? What would you want to gain from it?

Looking forward to your feedback and participation!

    Best regards,
    The Gowico Team

I don't see any big upswelling of interest in this, sorry. Even a single survey is something most of us avoid these days - you could spend your whole life filling them out and get nothing else done. But if you believe in them, provide your personal contact info and I'll give it to all the people who have been pestering me for my opinions lately.

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks again for your honest feedback. I understand where you're coming from—surveys can feel repetitive, especially when they don't directly address the real concerns of the community.

The first survey will be released this Monday to gather initial insights on CNC manufacturers. I’d love to hear what you and the community think would be valuable for future surveys. What questions or topics do you believe would be most beneficial to include, especially to make them more relevant to your decision-making processes?

By allowing the community to help shape the content, we can ensure that the surveys are truly beneficial and focus on the most pressing issues you face. This will continue as we work our way through various CNC manufacturers—there are many more to cover!

Let me know your thoughts—we are open to building this together with the community!

I am curious as to what your goal, Gowico is? Marketing? JR

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

    Hi JRouche,

Thanks for reaching out! I totally understand your concerns. I just want to clarify that the goal of our survey isn’t marketing or promotion. We’re simply looking to gather honest, unbiased feedback from CNC users like shop owners, operators, and engineers.

We aim to provide the CNC community with valuable data to help everyone make smarter decisions about machine investments. We’ll be sharing weekly updates from the survey, and the goal is to benefit the community with real-world insights that can guide both buyers and manufacturers.

Feel free to check out our website ( https://gowico.com )or our other social media for more details, and I’m happy to answer any other questions you may have!

I attempted to look at the survey you posted . My thoughts are that your not going to get very far when people have to sign up / log in to do a survey

Hey, thanks again for your feedback!
I completely understand your concern about the sign-up process, and we definitely want to avoid making it a barrier. However, in online surveys, there’s often a risk of people trying to manipulate the results—whether by submitting multiple responses to promote or downgrade certain brands or by using false information. By requiring sign-up, we can help limit multiple submissions, prevent automated responses or bots, and ensure that the feedback is coming from genuine participants.

That said, we’re committed to keeping the process as simple as possible in future surveys while still protecting the credibility of the data. Your input is really valuable, and we’ll definitely consider ways to improve the experience moving forward.

    Thanks again for understanding!

    Best regards,
    Gowico

You may want to monitor your bounce rate vs completed surveys , your likely to find that most people feel the same way as I do

We’ll definitely look into the bounce rate for future surveys and improve where we can. But if you’re willing, just for now, we’d love it if you could give us a shot and share your experience/insights in the survey. Otherwise, thanks again for the feedback!
    Best,
    Gowico
