How to disassemble Chinese BT30 Spindle
Hello all, I need some help here.
Just received my BT30 spindle from Aliexpress today and I have plans to change out the stock bearings with higer speed ones in few weeks time.
The problem is I can't seem to unscrew the nut on the drawbar assembly using a wrench. Do I need a specialised tool for that nut?
Attached is a pic of the mentioned nut in the yellow box.

I just figured it out. The collar below the nut needs to be removed first by loosening the grub screws on it's side.Originally Posted by Azalin
Next, loosen the 3 grub screws on the pulley to get it off the spindle shaft, and then I have access to the bolts on the cap below.
