    Default CAT 50 Spindle Lifespan

    Whatbis the exprcted lifespan of a 5000 RPM CAT50 spindle?

    We got 4 years from last rebuild. The spindle cooling oil is leaking from the bottom seal.
    Small vibrations start aroud 3500 rpms

    Looking for other shops to rebuild spindle.
    I think we are being over charged and its not lasting that long....

    suppose life span would depend upon the brand . I've run numerous mills with 50 taper that were run hard 24/7 for yrs and never needed a spindle repair
