I have a Grizzly 4003g lathe and my old motor has finally @#$% the bed . I was given a brand new in the box Leeson motor , it is SINGLE PHASE 230 Volts. There are 6 leads coming out of the motor . I can get the motor to run in Forward but not reverse . At this time I absolutely do not want to convert this lathe to 3 phase with a vfd as funds will not allow it and i aquired this motor for 0 dollars. Can anyone tell me where Z1 gets connected because im pulling my hair out not to burn up this new motor . U1 and U2 i have connected and the motor runs fine in forward the extra wire has to be reverse but not sure where to tie it in .
