Why are axial and radial depth of cut symbolised as ae and ap ?
As seen in many different CAM softwares and webpages, ae and ap are commonly used to symbolise radial and axial depth of cut, but does anyone know what the a e and p stand for? Googling I can only find definitions of what they are, but not why they're called that.
