CamBam will generate lathe code, but it's a bit of a PITA to use for turning IMHO. I do use CamBam a lot for my mill and love it for that. It's quick and simple for 2.5 D work.
What I use for the lathe is Fusion 360. It works great, pretty much, and has the flexibility to make it do what you want. A bit of a learning curve, but worth the effort. For more complex parts, I also use Fusion 360 for the mills. Fusion 360 is free to hobbyists.
