    Hi,

I currently have a Emmegi M3 running CamPlus. I am looking for a program to run hobby projects and SHAPE has been mentioned a few times.
-Where can I download the SHAPE Program from?
    -Will it interfere with CamPlus?

    Thanks

I'm using CAMplus and every time I try to save an LDT, I get an error message "Too long LDT name". The problem is, I see several other LDT name that are much longer than what I'm trying to use. So obviously other users can save longer names. I've asked the other users in my office about it but they all seem to be clueless as to how to fix the problem. I've looked through the "Options..." but nothing seemed obvious. Any Ideas?

    Hi Steven
We work with an Emmegi Comet R4.
This is a 5 axis machine tool.
I create my models from Autodesk Inventor and export each profile from Inventor to a step file.
Now I work with a borrowed dongle with Driver-Cad on it.
This is an add-on to Camplus 5.0 that allows you to load step files.
You then have a recognition tool that recognizes all edits and the profile and assigns the tools.
In most cases it goes well, but I don't get the countersink recognized.
In the tools we have copied the config from Drill and the countersink is recognized.
However, I get the message: No listed Countersink.
How do I get the countersink to work so that it is recognized.

    Thanks

    Hi @jlucas
Did you place the dxf in the right location.
I have to put my dxf's under Cam-DXF so the Camplus can find and use the wright dxf.

Hi, just started to use CamPLUS. I would like to know what's the difference between profiling and emptying. Also, is possible to create a rectangle without rounded corners? If yes, have to use a special tool?

    Thank you in advance!

I'm considering purchasing a Phantomatic T3 Star for machining aircraft extrusions. You'd think they would try harder to sell me on the software. I just want to know (without taking their word for it) between CamPlus and Shape, can I import a 3D DXF file and create a program for the part? Nothing too complex, but enough that I don't want to re-create everything from scratch. Compound angles on the ends, angled slots, hole locations. TIA

    Hi Machinist 21

Profiling will do miling on the tracing or contour while emptying will mill all the enclosed area.
Regarding the corners there is no option you have to us3 the smallest possible bit.

I decided to buy a custom built machine from a local builder that reads G-code so we can use our CAM software to generate programs from our Inventor files without the limitations of the Emmegi software.

    Hi,
I'm new to CAMPLUS and i'm trying to figure it out, it's different than others CAM software.
I have some questions and maybe someone can answaer me:
    1. How to do an operation and put it on any profiles? (when I load from an other LDT sometimes is compatible sometimes isn't)

    2. When it works are 2 options:
    a. The program ask me: Merge selected LDT with current LDT? If I press YES it works, but the selected LDT is it modified in some way? on current LDT it works but the X,W,H in operations are not the same with the coordinates system.
    b. The program ask me: The LDT's are NOT compatible do you what to proceed? It works but, are the profiles modified in some way?

    3. In the HDRILL on Tools, in the Tool modifier tab, How the remover speed is calculated?
The feeds & speeds in the catalogue are in mm/min or mm/tooth.
In the HDRILL manual writes hundredts/rev and on the machine, in HDRILL, it is 0.01/rev.

    How to convert mm/min to hundredts/rev ?

    4. The parametric values list doesn't work, I followed the steps in the manual. How it's done correctly?
    Thank you!

The dxf file needs to be in broken lines (not polyline)
