Which Cad/Cam for Heidenhain controled bed mill?

My company has bought a refurbished Correa Bed style milling machine (our first CNC mill). It's fitted with aTNC-i530 control which I have had a weeks worth of training on. After speaking with the instructor last week about going forward, he mentioned that getting a laptop fitted with some CAD/CAM software. We are keen to explore engraving but apreachiate that this stye of machine doesn't lend itself well toward this type of function.

We don't mind paying an annual licence for the right software. So what options are out there for novice programmers and why?.
