Default switching from mach 3 interface

I recently purchased this machine, which originally had an AH HA controller, then was upgraded with a Mach 3 breakout board. When I purchased the machine it had no PC, so Im kinda starting from scratch. I just had a new pc built with a parallel port in it, to run Mach 3, but made the mistake of not insuring that it had the 32 bit version of windows. My question is if I want to move away from Mach 3 because its dated, what would be involved. see the attached pics of the machine and breakout board.

To switch to UCCNC, I'd recommend a UC400ETH. You just need to get a cable to plug the breakout board into the UC400ETH. You'll also need a UCCNC license, and a small power supply to power the UC400ETH.
This assumes everything was working with Mach3 and a parallel port into that breakout board.

A UC100 is a little simpler, but the UC400ETH is a better choice imo.

So can the uc400 replace the breakout board? Seems like a lot of hopping to make it to the ah ha motor control box. Also. I’m not against replacing the Ah Ha box if there’s a reasonably priced option that can swap in

The breakout board is connected with a ribbon cable: Breakout boards - CNCdrive - webshop

No, you keep the breakout board, and plug it into the UC400ETH. You don't have to change any wiring.
