    Default Uc400 questions

Hi, can anyone please answer the following. Does the uc400 board need a normal breakout board as well. If so is it just a matter of connecting a ribbon cable to the printer port inlet on the breakout board. The uc400 manual is useless and gives no useful information. Thanks

Technically, no. But realistically, yes. You could plug a parallel cable into the UC400ETH, and wire it directly to your devices, but a breakout board makes things much easier.

The UC400ETH has two ports, so you'll need two breakout boards to use all of it's I/O, or a suitable dual port breakout board.

The UC400 manual is very clear that the UC400 gives 2 ports with printer port pinout. You should treat the UC400 ports just like if they were printer ports of a computer.
