Make sure you have a licensed version of UCCNC and you are not working in DEMO mode. Test inputs, to confirm you have communication OK.

Mx4660, uc100. I’m trying to setup proximity switches, I guess I’m just retarded. I go to the axis setup page, put in the pin #, hit enter, apply settings and the entry goes back to 0. Any help would be much appreciated

The port and pin number you are using is probably an output pin.

What port and pin numbers are you entering?

Is the demo version limited for controlling outputs?

You also have to select port 1 when setting a pin. Input pins are 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15. The UCCNC zeros the port and pin if you enter an invalid port/pin pair, or try to assign an input pin to output function or vice versa.
I checked the MX4660 manual. It sees the world form inside. When you connect something to its input, you have to check the DB25 (CN1) table to find that which output connects to your input. So, you connect output pins to inputs and vice versa... (E.g.: if you connect your proximity sensor to input 1 on MX4660 then its output is pin 10 on CN1, so in UCCNC you have to set port 1 pin 10.)
