    For anyone interested, here are the working Nowforever D100 VFD (same parameters as E100 FW 1.3) settings for modbus (modbusez plugin UCCNC)

    parameter - default -> new
    p000 - 1 -> 2
    p001 - 0 -> ok
    p002 - 2? -> 6
    p055 - 1 -> ok
    p056 - 2 -> ok
    p057 - 0 -> ok

    UCCNC settings for actual spindle speed DRO:

    UCCNC Sact label setting 870 (default) -> 2451 (new)

    The rest is as in the "screen shot" below (select com port from your installation).

    Thanks for sharing.
    I'm now using analog voltage for the VFD control, but if I built a next machine then I will use this information, thanks.

    @ DAN911

    first to say, a big thank you for your time to explore this all for us Keep up the good work

    But Im running into some problems. The previuw plug in worked perfect until my computer failt do the doest and many years of use.
    Some took another pc instal all again , took the new version but won't work.

    The vfd is a Hy I took all the settings from teh manual but want start.
    Firts I thought it was the USB converter so ordered a pro one (read expensive, european made)
    Same problem. won't work.
    Then put the settings in the VFD to manual and all work. So the VFD isnt broken.
    All the wiring is ok.

    But saw in the manual the settings are for Hy gold serie. Mine isnt...

    Do you know others with the same problems??

    Sorry for bad english but I think you will understand :-)

    Hello,
    I would like to try using this plugin but I seem to have a problem with the "Serial Port Setup Data" fields not saving. I'll set the COM, Baudrate, Bit information and hit the "Save All Settings" button and exit the Configure screen and close out UCCNC. When I restart UCCNC and go back into the Configuration screen the Serial Port Setup Data fields are blank. The data in the Spindle/Motor Setup and Modbus Setup fields all seem to have saved just fine.

    By the way I'm using the 2017 Screenset.

    I don't have much experience with this so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction as to what is causing this error?

    Thank you!
    PT

    Hi PT,

    It isn't a error I just neglected to show saved port settings. If you saved you can go to your pro file and confirm settings used.

    To eliminate any more confusion with com port settings I updated plugin to show com port saved settings when returning to the ModbusEZ configure.

    To use with 2017 screenset you need to edit the RPM field number, instructions below....

    11. Goto CONFIGURATION / GENERAL SETTINGS / Edit screen. Go to your run screen (Shift + run), click on your "RPM" feild , choose "Selection tab"

    and change the labelnumber from "870" to "2451", than click apply settings, click on File tab on top of window and click "Save screenset".

    Hi.

    Just started to play with my new UCCNC setup and Nowforever VFD. Everything went well, motor was acting as expected but suddenly VFD runs like 10x less speed as commanded = S3000 = 50Hz is actually running only 5Hz. Any ideas what went wrong?
    EDIT. Works now but no idea what was the reason....

    Sact 870 => 2451 does not work either.

    You either unchecked frequency resolution in ModbusEZ configure or changed the resolution in VFD settings.

    You only have to change RPM field labelnumber from 870 to 2451 if using 2017 Screenset.

    Good Evening Dan,

    I've just purchased a HY GT series VFD ( GT-2R2G-4 ) and would like to ask if your HY plugin would work with this new type GT series?

    ModbusEZ plugin will work for the HY GT Series, there's settings in the manual for it. If any questions don't hesitate to ask.

    Hi Milosh, Sorry for delayed response but if I don't see any new post in threads I don't sign in and know of new pm's. There also can be others that could help or when you find your solution can help others. Also I can't post images in PM's the can help.

    Did you try the settings in manual?

    Dan, thanks for response.

    Yes I did it first, and didn't work.
    This config turns spindle on but there is no speed control (frequency is always 196 Hz)

    Hi Milosh,

    Keep the settings that's turning spindle on off using single coil. Don't worry about ccw for now. Try unchecking frequency resolution, save and restart UCCNC.

    Hi Dan,
    Unchecked feequency resolution, but still no luck. Only on off. No speed controll. Just to be clear, when I use the button to turn the spindle on, I shoud be able to overide the spindle speed with plus or minus sign. Unfortunaltely, numbers on the screen are changing but not the spindle rpm.

    Thanks,
    Milosh

    Hi Milosh,

    Please try plugin I attached and use settings in pic. If still not working change Frequency address/coil to 0000 and try again. Make sure you restart UCCNC after changes.
