can you post your threading code ?
I am in contact with tormach for help with this, but I was wondering if any of you came across this before? All my threads look like barbed fittings. The start end thread form looks more or less correct, but the back side looks like a different degree. Using iscar lay down inserts, tried a shars one too. same results from conversational or fusion. It did this on earlier versions of path pilot when I got the machine, but I didn't need threading at the moment and assumed user error. My thought is maybe the timing is not calibrated correctly? I verified z travel to be accurate to a known good indicator over 1.5".

did some more experimenting today. I swapped holders out to a dorian triangle on edge type and got good threads. I checked both holders and the tip of the insert is within a few thousandths of each other so I don't think it's a tool center height issue. I used the same program to run 5/8-11. part on top is the laydown iscar, bottom part is the on edge.

Are you using a holder with a threading insert or some other sort of other insert type? External threading inserts usually look like this:

I think I figured it out. The inserts I bought off ebay and I believe they are not the part number on the package. I believe they are npt. once I swapped to different brand insert the threads worked out.

Can we get a pic of the orginal insert?
Also, on the Slant, I will program three spring passes (H3).
