    Default Threading question.

Sorry, I don't mean to be blasting the forum with multiple threads, but since this one is different, I didn't want to combine them in hopes of getting the answers I need.

Only thing I haven't seen a video of is this lathe threading an object, someone checking the threads to determine that they are not deep enough and rerunning the threading op to cut deeper.

Will this lathe do that? I know the encoder on the back of the spindle keeps everything in time when threading initially, but after the lathe stops, tool holder moves to safe position, can it rerun the threading without loosing the thread start position?

Absolutely. As long as you do not remove the part from the chuck or remove the tool, it will stay synchronized with the thread.
