I have no idea but, I would try to change the Z start with half the TPI for the second pass, again, I have no idea as I never tried this.

if you can single point thread on your machine you would be able to do multistart threads
a two thread lead you would position the start point pitch/2

Would there be some calculation as to how far to start out the Z?

    Rcs60
So I start the 1st thread at whatever is regular then the 2nd pass at pitch/2?

Or both pitch /2 but offset somehow?

the first tread would be normally how you set up your threading
second thread lead start would be previous start + 1/2 pitch

20 tpi thread 2 lead start
ex. first thread start at .100
    second start would be .100+.[.100/2]=.150

most multi-lead threads are spec'ed out at the threads per inch so that a 1/2-20 thread would have 2-10tpi threads with the pitch the equivocal of a 20tpi thread

Thanks took me a minute to figure out.
Threads per inch / 2 then the pitch of that thread / 2 + start.

This is just something I'm messing with myself no real design going off.
