ATC Drawbar won't release - solenoid clicks but no air?
When I went to fire up my mill this afternoon the ATC crashed--went to store the tool in the spindle, but the drawbar did not release. RIP another fork
When I try to release the drawbar manually I can hear the solenoid click and it lights up, but seems like no air flows. PSI is normal and the air blast works, so air supply seems OK. Worked A-OK two weeks ago.
Any other debugging/repair steps here, or will I just need to get a new solenoid?
Re: ATC Drawbar won't release - solenoid clicks but no air?
Unplug the output end of the solenoid first, and see if any air comes out when the solenoid actuates.
If it does, then the problem is not the solenoid.
If it IS the solenoid, then you will have to replace that anyway, so you might as well unplug it now.
