Tormach 1100 x axis slop or sticks

Hello everyone. I have a year old series 3 pcnc 1100 with about 30 hrs on it. When I let it sit for a few days , I try to home all three axis and the x axis groans and acts like it is stuck. Finally I get it to move . I noticed today when I was running it , the x axis got stuck for a second and lost it position in the program. I made sure the ways are oiled , I made sure the cap screws are tight on the x coupler. Any suggestions before I tear the table apart? Thanks guys.

Do you run a warm up sequence that slowly increases the spindle speed while moving the head and table around? On my dovetail machines I ran one every morning then re-home. If they sat for a while I'd reach under and paint some way lube on the dovetails I could reach on the X

Thanks WOTDesigns, it’s when I turn on the machine and just home it. The x is stuck in place like it is sticking. I wait then I try to move it again , finally it moves.

Talk to Tormach. It could be a failed driver or motor and they may ask you to do a swap test.

Check your gibs, they may be too tight!
