    Trying to do a simple PP Engrave and am getting "must use G0 or G1 with G53" not making sence to me

    Can you post the code? Do you mean with the PP conversational engraving tab? Post the file that it generates.

    You should be using G54. G53 is machine coordinates. In the conversational screen, type in G54 instead of G53. And of course set your X, Y and Z zeros.

    I tried G53 in the PP simulator and got the same error as you.

    Playing around with it a little more, you can't use G53 in these tabs at all. When G53 is used in gcode, it must have a G0 or G1 on the same line, such as...

    G53 G0 X0 Y0 Z0

    That is called NON-MODAL. Meaning, you can just set it once, you have to have it on the line of code.

    But that isn't how these tabs work. They do a G54 once and then follow that with a sequence of G0 and G1 commands to make the cuts. That is why you get errors with G53.

    G53 is used rarely, for something like moving the table and head to a particular spot. I guess some machines use it to return the machine to the home (reference) position, which works with the PCNC as well. But we normally just use G30 to move the head up to a convenient place to change tools.
