Use the Conversational tab. Or if you have any existing file, go to the File tab, select it, select Copy, then Paste, rename the copy to whatever makes sense to you, then select it and click Edit. Gedit should popup and you can select all (ctrl-a) and type delete to start fresh.
Or just copy over a blank template .nc file to your machine and leave that around as the common file to copy/paste from.

WOW talk about a big step backwards. The EditGcode button should open a new file in the editor IF a file is not selected.
So what you are saying is there is NO way to directely create a new Gcode file from inside of PathPilot ??
Interesting , (;-) TP

You can also just select any file, click Edit, and then do a File > Save As to a new name.
