    Default PathPilot2+Touchscreen HP Compaq L5009tm

    I use a monitor 15" HP Compaq L5009tm with PathPilot 2.0
    I installed a driver Linux 64 bit APR Driver (AMD64/Intel - x86_64) from
    https://www.elotouch.com/support/dow...eQckECOQACuyoW
    by instruction
    /etc/opt/elo-apr
    sudo cp /etc/opt/elo-apr/setup/99-elotouch-ubuntu.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/
Touchscreen works, but periodically refuses .
    In PathPilot MDI "ADMIN TOUCHSCREEN"
.. could not find any touchscreen device
How do I ensure normal operation on touchscreen HP Compaq L5009tm ?

could not find any touchscreen device
This means that the Linux Mint that PathPilot runs on doesn't find a driver for your screen, or perhaps that the screen isn't fully connected to the computer.

You can search for "linux touchscreen configuration" to see what options you might have. (Most of them will involve opening up a terminal window and doing command-line administration.)

If the touchscreen disconnects, you can check with commands like "dmesg" or "sudo udevadm monitor" what's going on when that happens. (Best is to catch it in the act.)

That is clearly an electrical USB bus problem.
Either the USB cables are poorly shielded and pick up interference, or the decide wants more power than your port can supply or something else like that is causing it to drop off the bus.
I would first try with better (more expensive) USB cables.
If that didn't work, I'd try installing a powered USB hub in another port which you know work (say, shared with keyboard and/or mouse) and plug the monitor and other device into that.
If that didn't work, I'd wonder whether I had gotten a badly designed or built display.
