    Hello,
I have another bigger aluminium cast piece for 5 axle processing.
IFor this process, I use a clamping device that was created in Topsolid.

When I run the simulation with ‘raw part tracking’ then it jerks and makes 4mm high jumps in the display.

With the second clamping it’s even more distinctive.
    The simulation also takes ages…

As a response I increased the display tolerance by 1mm, however I did not notice a noticable improvement.

We work with 32 Bits XP Quadcore computer with Nvidia Quadro Fx 1700 graphic card.

Are there any advantages with 64 bid systems?
Does it help to have two graphic cards in SLI mode?
Are there any TopSolid settings that simplify the simulation?

    With best regards
    Silvio

    Hello Silvio.

In the simulation we NEVER use ‘raw part tracking’ as these are even with very small parts very unstable.
64 bits only helps if you get an error description when testing due to a memory capacity that is too small. That’s the reason why we have a 64 bit computer.

    Hello Silvio,

    I had similar problems.

Are you working with parameter TopTool tools or with imported Solids?

How in general do you create your clamping? (tool and raw part)
With tool positioning or with ‘add component part/assembly’; partly added?

    Regards
    Mulder

Ich bin nicht versaut... Ich nenn das moralisch flexibel!!!

    Hello Mulder

I work with TopTool parameter tools as well as those ones where you need to deposit a TopSolid drawing.
I take the raw part with ‘positioning/coordinate system ’ into CAM from a TopSolid file.
The vices, neutral point clamping system are deposited as standard component parts.

I guess I have the problem due to many bottom radiuses on the tools and raw part.
They use quite a lot of memory capacity.

    Greetings Silvio
