About the same as you are using now with the 1/4" bit.
But when you use a 1/4" bit, you should be cutting 5-10x faster at those rpm's
I'm going to rout clock movement hands out of 1/16 plastic or aluminum, using a 1/16 inch router bit.
I have only used 1/4 inch bits and 18000 to 20000 speed and 30 to 35 IPM on wood, with a shallow depth (0.08).
My CNC router is small Shark 13x24 with a Bosch Colt router.
Do I go faster or slower with 1/16 inch bit?
